 On the evening of March 7, as we were preparing dinner and getting ready for CCD, Gabriel drowned in our pool. While it was a horrific experience for us which we would relive over and over, particularly as we notified relatives and friends, it was a glorious day for our "Gorgeous Gabe". He was whisked away to Heaven where his adventures and guitar playing and "Hallelujah" singing surely continue. We wanted his stone to tell his story. We included a guitar (of course) and "Hallelujah". He loves music. We love him. God loves him more. We will see him soon.

 Here, again, is Gabriel with a guitar. As you can see, he has just had his bath and has decided to forego the time-consuming task of getting dressed. Who needs clothes when you have a guitar?

 Valentine's day. We went to a party at a fellow homeschooler's home. They had some toy guitars. Here is Gabriel with one of them. He sure had a good time.

 Christmas 2005. This Christmas Gabriel was really able to enjoy the festivities. Pictured here (clockwise from top) are Nathan (5), Zachary (7), Gabriel, and Brianna (8).

 Gabriel's second birthday. Here he is inspecting his puppy cake. Okay, he was really trying to eat the M&M's off the cake. They were his favorite candy...that's why I put them on the cake.

 Gabriel was first introduced to guitars by his brother, Nathan. Nathan loves guitars also. But it was Gabriel who made guitars his constant companions. If there was no guitar available, a spoon, fork, hairbrush (you get the idea) etc., would do just fine.

 Easter, 2005. Here Daddy is introducing Gabriel to some of Easter's "sweeter" treats. This would be the only Easter that Gabriel was really able to participate in. He was only 5 months old for his first Easter and died before his third.

 Having mastered crawling, Gabriel moves on to bigger challenges like...walking. Here he has a puppy walker. By this time, he was climbing stools to the countertop and cruising like a pro.

 Lots of moisture on the shirt...Red gums...wait, is that a tooth? Teething seemed to be very hard for Gabriel. He would complain for weeks for each tooth. Here he is smiling, though. He was too happy to complain for long.

 On February 1, 2004, Gabriel Isaac was baptized at Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church. The first reading that day was from Jeremiah and included: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you and before you were born I consecrated you." The second reading was the "Love chapter" from Corinthians. Gabriel was God's boy. We're blessed to have had him for two years.

 Just three weeks after he was born, Gabriel starred in the Church Christmas play. People said it was wonderful to have a new baby play baby Jesus and that he was just right. Brianna played baby Jesus' guardian angel.

 On the evening of November 18, 2003, Gabriel Isaac Anzalone was born. We were so excited. Brianna, of course, had hoped for a sister. She found out over the next two years what a wonderful boy he would be. He had lots of golden hair. Everyone called him "Gorgeous Gabe". We still do...
